The St. Louis IX Art Society is collaborating with the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System to honor of the 800th anniversary of St. Francis’ death by putting on an art exhibition! We hope to honor St. Francis of Assisi during this Jubilee year by exhibiting a curated collection of artwork. The aim of the art exhibition is to celebrate the perfect joy of St. Francis through encountering sacred art! We hope that you will contribute your art to help us commomorate the life and legacy of our patron St. Francis through beauty!

GUIDELINES

Artists may submit original works that explore the life of Saint Francis, Franciscan saints, Franciscan spirituality, Franciscan charisms and values, or other sacred art of any theme!

  • All work must be original artworks or master copies.

  • No limit on submissions!

  • Please submit a high resolution photo of the artwork in your submission.

  • Art should be framed for convenient display.

  • Art must be delivered or mailed in by November 10. Art that is mailed in must contain a return label in shipment. (Mailing address will be provided after submission selection).

  • Deadline for submissions is October 20, please allow for a week following submissions for our response!

  • Selected artists will receive a $200 stipend to help cover transport costs!

  • Artists can list their works for sale and will retain all profits!

  • Pace e Bene opens at the Fran U Campus in Baton Rouge on November 17th, 2026. The exhibition is an invitation only event. Participating artists are also welcome to be attend the event.

  • This is not a juried exhibition with monetary awards. However, all selected artists will receive a $200 stipend for their participation.

  • All artists and works will be selected by October 25th.
