Parish Mission Chamber Concert

Host a parish mission chamber concert

Live sacred music, liturgical preaching, and Eucharistic adoration

A Parish Mission Chamber Concert is an offering of the St. Louis IX Art Society to Catholic parishes in South Louisiana and other nearby cities. These events are solemn, yet powerful, evenings of Eucharistic adoration and meditative and contemplative prayer assisted by beautiful sacred music and captivating preaching.

Each mission begins with Eucharistic exposition and concludes with benediction. Between these two “moments,” there is an interplay of live sacred music performed by a chamber concert and liturgically-focused preaching by a mission preacher.

The sacred music is curated to match the focus and movement of the preaching, such that all in attendance are inwardly moved by the live musical performance to better reflect upon the content of the preaching before the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

Would you like to host a Parish Mission Chamber Concert at your parish for Lent, Advent, or a special feast day, solemnity, or anniversary? We’d love to bring this mission to your people. Fill out the form below to start the conversation.

Note: Each mission includes a five-piece chamber concert and, depending on location, costs between $5,850-$7,350. We are happy to provide additional packages to further tailor this mission event to your parish’s needs by providing a larger chamber concert set.

Personal testimonies:

In my experience, beauty speaks to my heart in a way that moves past any defense I might have in place with ease. This is what is on offer through one of the St. Louis IX Art Society’s parish mission chamber concerts. Beautiful music and truth that leads to the Most Beautiful and Most Blessed Sacrament - Jesus - present in our midst in some way at all times and profoundly so in the Eucharist. An evening such as this will do what any priest wishes to do for His people: to speak of God’s love in such a way that an encounter with Him is made real. One word captures this reality and peaks the interest of those who hear it described in this way - Beautiful.”
~ Rev. Michael Lamy, Parochial Vicar, St. Ann Church & Shrine (Metairie)

I had the privilege of attending a parish mission chamber concert during the Advent season, and I was completely blown away by the sheer beauty and richness of the experience. The intimate setting of a holy hour, combined with breathtaking music, created a truly special evening. I hope that this precious practice of prayer eventually finds its way to my home parish, and I encourage all pastors to offer the experience to your own parishioners as well.
